Need some OBEY gear in your life?

Sample sales are always great places to rock some hot deals on hot threads and OBEY Clothing's 2008 summer sample sale should be no different. It'll be going down Friday May 30th from 9am to 7 pm and on Saturday May 31st from 8am to 3pm in 3500 W. Carriage Dr, Santa Ana 92704.

If you're ready to OBEY, prepare your credit cards and expect to come home with giant bags full of gear; or at the very least look as awesome as the guy in the back of the flyer:

Snap, Crackle and Pop meets Rap, Hood and Hip-Hop!

Keeping with my previous post about cereal, comes another breakfast mashup, where this time cereal meets street. Kellogg's, the company behind character-driven breakfast cereal mainstays, joins street clothing company Under The Hood for a new collaborated line they're hoping will leave fans of both scenes clamoring, "They're Grrrreat!"

Kellogg's famous characters are all here, from Frosted Flake's Tony the Tiger, the jolly Rice Krispies trio Snap, Crackle and Pop, Honey Smacks' Dig'Em the Frog, Corn Flakes' Cornelius Rooster, and finally Toucan Sam of Froot Loops fame. All your favorite cereal mascots jump out of the box and land emblazoned in outlined patterns over shirts, jeans, hoodies, and track jackets. You can check out all the styles at Under The Hood's online store.

The brands definitely acknowledge that the strange combination of the two flavors is definitely a taste that'll split the masses between those that "Dig'Em" while others will feel soggy. In full compliance with that thought, check out the models' faces:

On the other hand we've seen every cartoon character from Fat Albert to Bugs Bunny on clothing, but Kellogg's/Under The Hood's line seems much more out there and therefore giving it a much bigger "WTF/Awesome" factor to the mix!

So whether you think its the most absurd thing that has happened to the urban clothing waves or perhaps the most genius, one thing is for sure:

Nothing spells out BOLD better than rocking out an outfit that says, "Follow Your Nose" while pointing to Toucan Sam's rainbow snout splattered over your ass cheeks!!

Personally, I know I NEED this Honey Smacks Track jacket IN MY LIFE to rock with my Reebok Voltron ERS Racer Green Lion 3 kicks:

NOW that would be a mashup-mashup!

Little pig, little pig, let me in!

First there was the "Dead Serious" skeleton hoody, then came "Friday the 47th" with a Jason hockey mask. Now LRG blows the house down with another crazy hoodie for those wolves out there: "the Huff & Puff!"

Where the previous hoodies covered the wearer's full face, this open-faced hood demands attention as it places its wearer as the Big Bad Wolf or flips the script for the sheep that wants to wear wolf's clothing. Best worn those nights you want to howl at the moon or when you want to hunt down those Little Red Riding Hoods.

You can devour the Huff and Puff Hoodie (or the other way around) at L-R-G.com

Stella McCartney for LeSportsac

LeSportsac has done it again!

"Done what?" you might be asking.

They've teamed up with a super awesome designer and are releasing a fantastically fabulous line of bags and accessories!

This time around, Stella McCartney was behind the drawing board. An array of flowers and stars adorn her pastel colored bags as well as solid greys. Her spring/summer collection will be released soon.

Can't wait for it to hit your local department store and boutiques? No problem! The whole line can be viewed on the LeSportsac website and is available for pre-orders.

I'm absolutely loving the little bunny keychains that go with the bags and there's even a bunny shaped backpack (shown above, $120).

Of course the tote I want is $325 . . . I shall be left drooling.

Handbags to lug into combat!

Sundae Best is a collection of handbags by Wisconsin designer and artist James Piatt. Born in San Diego California, his influence of Southern Californian Conceptual Art is seen of his many works of furniture, lighting, and in particular, his handbag collection. (Yeah being a male, I know I'm not the target market, but the military/combat designs were just too awesome for me to not take notice!)

The Pursuader (purse-suader! get it?!) is a sub-machine gun shaped laser shaped leather purse complete with a cell phone holder in the clip. For those who like to live life like a battle, they're available in silver or pink.

Knock people out with "The Peacekeeper 300", a handbag with brass knuckles for a handle. Its available in multiple colors and materials, and guaranteed to make you rule the streets.

For those not into weapons here's something a little more morbid! "Tinkerbell" is inspired by Paris Hilton's denied dog of the same name addressing the issue of carrying a small dog as a fashion accessory. Unfortunately, as of this writing, these puppies are sold out.

Finally, there is the less intimidating but just as fashionable "Chesterton", which combines the best of old and new style and technology.

Ladies ready for war will immediately report to James Piatt/Sundae Best. Dismissed!

Sign Language

Hi LL,

Your boys at FF got cool stuff, but I need to propose some changes.
Don't worry, the look and feel will be there, just some updated versions.

Per FF:
My (Leo) Horoscope says:
"Your day is gonna be Totes rad! Someone your meet on your J.O.B. = L.O.V.E."
Oh so true! Way rad day and the somoneone I met at j.o.b. is Work. and yes, i L.O.V.E. Work! Who Knew? Crazy.

So, I think I should do as FF says...
Instead of getting Bamboo earrings (at least two pairs) can I just get one pair and have my other pair be these Horoscope Earrings???

Okay, I'll make sure to replace a Fendi bag with this enviro-happy reusable Chi shopping tote. Ferocious Lil devil like moi, no?

But I'll keep my bad attitude just the way you like it.

Thanks L!

hearts,
me

Stussy Sale and More 09/29

SKATE SHOE and OUTLET SALE!!!
STUSSY - PAUL FRANK - WORLD INDUSTRIES - PLANET EARTH - GLOBE - ADIO - and MORE!!!

Where:
La Sierra High School 4145 La Sierra Ave. Riverside, CA

When:
Saturday, September 29th

Time:
10am-2pm

Sponsored by: Engineering and Technology Club
• Visa and Mastercard Accepted
• Info: 760.945.0097

Depending on what you're looking for, these sales aren't too bad. Don't believe that you have to get their early to get all the good stuff. True, there might be some hidden gems here and there, but there's definitely something for everyone. Not to mention, most items are at wholesale prices. In the past, I've been able to find some tees that most people throw to side including Stussy collabo tees with Complete Finesse, Neighborhood, and NEXUS7. The workers there know what's up, so when you head to the cash register to purchase, those tees may be a bit more expensive than the rest. This would be a good time for you to start your Christmas shopping early. Also, you'll be helping out an engineering and technology club. HA!

Keep Company Fall 2007

Keep Company has just announced that their Fall 2007 collection is available for sale on their website. On the real, even though these shoes are for women, I'd definitely size up and rock some of their models. The Nuss, Guerra, and Ramos specifically. Peep it.

Fergie for Kipling

Yes, another celebrity bag line.
And So? We gals don't mind. Us girls can't get enough of bags/purses/totes/clutches...so yay!
But really, Miss Fergie's line is looking kinda cute and has something for every type of gal.

The Nice Scout line is for the nature gal with an edge. Fergie-esque camo print, mesh and leather detailing, bronze hues are smoking hot for this fall. This line will be out sometime this month.

The Naughty Scout line is for the Fergalicious chica mamaz. Hot pink lip prints, gunmetal, and stud hardware give this teaser some edge. MEOW! This line is coming out in October 2007.

The Dutchess line, set to release in November 2007, was inspired by the plaid outfit Fergie wore while prefroming in the 2006 Billboard Music Awards. Bold pink, preppy plaid, and a silhouette tasel print is perfect for any prissy princess, but throw in that goth yet chic black, and gollie, you know this prissy princess wears that crown proud and with a bite! SO loving this line! =)

What type of gal are you?
I'm for team Dutchess. =P
