"That One."

Looks like you can already commemorate what everybody is saying is the highlight of the 2nd debate:

Helvetica Alphabet Tees

If you're like me, you love and use the font Helvetica to the point where you want that to be the name of your first daughter. Now to show the simple complexity of the legendary font's design, American Apparel has shirts that take it back to the basics: the letters themselves.

The 2001HA Helvetica Alphabet T-Shirt is available in Aa, Bb, Cc, Dd, Hh, Jj, Mm, and Ss with more on the way. I've already sent my request for a Jj! [via Rumplo]

The Audacity of Pez!

images courtesy tcritic.com
Karl Long blogs about wicked t-shirts in his website Tcritic. He also begain licensing T-shirt prints from independent artists. In timely fashion the first Tcritic shirt comes from artist Eric Rewitzer of 3 Fish Studios: The Prez Dispenser!

The Obama-inspired shirt is based on a linocut by Eric Rewitzer. The only thing that would be sweeter is if Pez comes out with real Barack dispenser. I would fill it with Hope and orange Pez!

Hope, Change & Progress are definitely tenets our next president should OBEY

Recently artist Shepard Fairey of OBEY has recently donated his iconic Obama "Hope" poster in support for the Art For Life Art Auction. As of this writing, the 45 x 69 1 of 3 editioned collage is going for upwards of $75k.

More Obama, right?… Well, this is something special. After Shepard’s initial feeling not to make a fine art piece of the OBAMA image, he thought about it and was presented with an opportunity to do something exceptional. When Shepard was asked by industry heavyweight, Russell Simmons, to donate a piece for his Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation, he felt this was a worthy cause. The piece is being auctioned for the Art For Life Charity event. This piece is approximately 4×6 foot in size and its a mixed media stencil collage on paper. It may be the only fine art piece of this image available to the public. You can bid on the piece through the Art For Life Auction here.

For those not in the know, Fairey made his support for Barack Obama known when he created prints concerning the 2008 candidate's themes. These prints sold out indefinitely and are now as much in demand as they are famous.

However those who missed out on showing some love by obtaining the prints have the opportunity to wear that support with OBAMA x OBEY x UpperPlayground collaboration hoodies. At $60 each, the hoodie sales will go back into producing more Obama Campaign materials and maybe more posters according to the website.

For those who like a little light-hearted support, Karmaloop has some Back To The Future inspired Barack threads by Sons of Liberty!

Great Scott! This is HEAVY!

Need some OBEY gear in your life?

Sample sales are always great places to rock some hot deals on hot threads and OBEY Clothing's 2008 summer sample sale should be no different. It'll be going down Friday May 30th from 9am to 7 pm and on Saturday May 31st from 8am to 3pm in 3500 W. Carriage Dr, Santa Ana 92704.

If you're ready to OBEY, prepare your credit cards and expect to come home with giant bags full of gear; or at the very least look as awesome as the guy in the back of the flyer:
