Home for the Holidays.

Sorry for the lack of updates on my part. It has been a busy and tough quarter. It's all G though... I'm back home in SD to catch up on sleep and laziness.

A while back, I received a package from Enna (remember? Kami-Robo?) that contained an issue of QUANTO magazine; Japan's top selling magazine for toy model kit and hobby enthusiasts. To my suprise, They included a tiny photo of me with Yasui san in the insert the magazine did on the San Diego Comic-Con.






(Yeah, that's what I look like. My cover is blown. Don't come after me in the streets, ya punks.)

When I got home, mom left me some mail on my desk...

Jessica and Terry for GQ

While at Ralph's looking for a cake for a homie's birthday (happy birthday, Glenn Gimme-A-Towel), I spotted the June issue of O - The Oprah Magazine. When I was about to pick it up and flip through the pages to find out more about panty intervention, my peripheral vision caught sight of the new issue of GQ. To grace the cover is none other than Pomona born Jessica Alba. Yezzir, the Dark Angel and Flipper star herself. In a swimsuit by Dolce & Gabbana, Ms. Alba fills it in like the cream in your twinkie. Hands down amaaaazing.
Not to mention, these shots were taken by Terry Richardson in the tempting Terry Richardson style. Whether you browse the pages during class in the middle of a lecture or on the john dropping 5 pounds, the article itself is a good read and it truely shows the modesty and reservation Alba has unlike some other Hollywood 20-somethings.

My favorite...

Put away the lotion and stop typing with one hand and go out and get a copy for yourself. It'll be the best $4 you'll spend this month other than your normal 8 tacos from Jack-in-the-Box. Also, you'll find the technique for perfect grilled fish, a variety of white canvas sneaks for this summer (more optic white chucks please), Travis Barker and Tony Hawk on being cool dads, and that Mac kid, Justin Long in a variety of cotton suits. Not like the last one matters to me or anything...

Entertainment Weekly's Heroes Five Cover Series

Entertainment Weekly printed Five different Covers of our favorite Heroes. I ordered my set online on Friday. My dilemma -- where can I buy a frame to hold this cool piece of art? The five covers "connect" to become one heck of a cool panorama of New York. I placed the images in Photoshop and connected it. (click below image to see detail)


The torn up ballots, the shattered glass, fire in Peter's hands, the rolled up Missing Ad, the orchid petals...what does it all mean? Don't we already know this though??? For all those who don't (what's wrong with you???) see more insight at EW's gallery of the covers and "get a clue!"

Us obsessed fans may already know the significance of each, but EW's gallery is still fun to check out...place your mouse over the five covers and see clues just jump out at ya! Check out the Bennet's Cover and place your mouse over the glass. All together...OoOooOOo. ok watever. =)

While on the topic of BxH, I picked up the November 2004 issue of Garden magazine at Munky King with a special feature interview with Hikaru Iwanaga. A very good read in three different languages (Mandarin, English, Japanese) that gives a little insight into the inspirations and meanings behind "Bounty Hunter" (Boba Fett, anyone?) , BxH around the world, and future of the trendy Harajuku brand. 120% pure goodness. If you can find it, I suggest picking it up.
