Hip Hostess Series in Los Angeles ... part one

Our senses were working overtime at last thursday's Hip Hostess Series in Los Angeles. There's so much to talk gush about... from the hotel, the party tips, the yummy drink concoctions and everything in between. We'll be adding to this post throughout the week.

Our two hour trip to l.a. turned into four hours due to the stinkin' rain. boo... way frustrating, but we saw our rainbow through the rain:

Thank goodness for traffic i suppose...without it, we wouldn't been able to capture this.

It's the simple joys that make things bearable =)

Helvetica Alphabet Tees

If you're like me, you love and use the font Helvetica to the point where you want that to be the name of your first daughter. Now to show the simple complexity of the legendary font's design, American Apparel has shirts that take it back to the basics: the letters themselves.

The 2001HA Helvetica Alphabet T-Shirt is available in Aa, Bb, Cc, Dd, Hh, Jj, Mm, and Ss with more on the way. I've already sent my request for a Jj! [via Rumplo]

Steep in style!

If you're like me and addicted to beverages that require steamed water (mostly tea personally, coffee not so much) you'll definitely dig this high-design/tech teapot by stock graphic image company Veer: The Sorapot!

VEER says:

Make way for the modern teapot. Short and stout, with striking architecture, the Sorapot updates teatime with contemporary style. The 11oz chamber steeps tea for two beneath a graceful arch. A marvel of design you can sit back and pore over, before it’s time to tip over and pour out. Made from stainless steel, borosilicate glass (Pyrex), and food-grade silicone.

Dimensions: 8" x 6" x 5"

The pricetag may get you steamed up, but for form and function I don't think you have any other choice now for making water boil!
